Elle devient aussi nulle parce que ça permet de fabriquer du bourrin dépourvu de discernement. Du qui fait "des jobs qu’on déteste pour se payer des merdes dont on n’a pas besoin" : une voiture plus neuve que celle achetée il y a deux ans, une télé plus plate avec une meilleure résolution, et grosso-modo tout ce que le voisin a de mieux que moi et qui donc me fait défaut. Le temps que passent ces gens à s’occuper de ces choses-là, ils ne le passent pas à réfléchir sur autre chose. Ce qui faisait dire à Carlin qu’en effet :
